~ Welcome to Driving Trail Challenge ~

Texas Trail Challenge presents the driving verson of the popular trail challenge. We're proud to give you the opporturnity to display your driving skills on a 3 to 5 mile venue suited for VSE, ponies and horses.

The course is laid out on natural terrain designed to use natural obstacles and situations a driver might encounter on the trail.

Drivers might be expected to back up, go through a water crossing, manuevere through terrain, execute an up or downhill and then pick up the mail. Driving teams are judged strictly on how well they negotiate the trail with their equine through an obstacle with an emphasis on calmness and safety.

Event Details and Typical agenda and Entry Form

The drivers are divided up into size of equine classes, VSE, pony and horse. The classes may drive different trail, example: VSE will drive less mileage. Drivers compete in their class for 1st to 3th place awards. High Point and Reserve High Point are awarded to the highest and second highest points in the drive. Awards will be given at the end of the ride along with the score card. Points accumulate and year end awards are presented in November 2010.
