All electrical sites are first come, first serve. Details: McCown is constructing some shelters for the equestrian camping area. At the time of our ride they are not sure which sites will be available so they are going on first come, first serve. There are 33 sites at this facility and they estimate that 20+ will be available for the ride. We will post more info as it comes available.watch for more details on the Texas Trail Challenge Yahoo chat list regarding electrical availability.

MEALS ~
BBQ sandwich and chips on Friday night for $5.00. We will potluck on Saturday evening before the ride meeting please bring a plate and eating irons plus a dessert, or side dish. Management will provide the main dish.

DIRECTIONS ~
Take FM 933 thru Whitney. At the Lamplighter convenience store (FM 1713) turn west (only way to turn). There are also brown COE signs that say "McCown Park" with an arrow there, too. Go about 4 miles to McCown Valley Park. When FM 1713 veers off to the right, keep going straight--do not follow FM 1713. The road will take you straight into McCown Valley Park. Pay the gate attendant for your site.

From Hwy 56, take FM 1713 to the east, cross over the long bridge and at the "T", turn right and go into McCown Valley Park.
